Workout 09/17/2014: Gym

So, I’m twitching since I haven’t been to the gym since 09/12, but I had to calm myself down because I did get out and go on a Ruck Walk a few days ago, so there’s that. It was a good training session at the gym today and since it’s been five days since I last lifted the iron, I hit it hard like I did on the 12th.

Today’s Session:

Deadlifts:

45lbs (bar) x 10 x 1 (I’m thinking of removing this one as my warmup set because…)

115lbs x 5 x 1 (because I lifted this like a damn boss, came off the floor like I was trying to clean and press it!)

135lbs x 5 x 1, 155lbs x 5 x 2, 165lbs x 5 x 2

Bench Press:

Bar x 10 x 1, 115lbs x 5 x 1, 135lbs x 5 x 2, 145lbs x 5 x 2

Squats:

Bar x 10 x 1, 65lbs x 5 x 1, 75lbs x 5 x 1, 85lbs x 5 x 1, 95lbs x 5 x 2  (squats felt MUCH better this time around. form felt and looked better.)

Chin Ups / Assisted Chins:

Bodyweight Chins x 5 x 1

-40lbs x 5 x 2, -55lbs x 5 x 1, -70lbs x 5 x 1, -85lbs x 5 x 1

(The negative means the mechanism allows me to do a chin with X lbs LESS than my bodyweight. So the first set I took off 40lbs, and so on. I was going for full range of motion and full completion of sets.)

Deadhangs from Pull Up Bar:  30sec x 1 x 2
