Workout 11/22/14: Squats, Deadlifts and PRs.

This first week within the new business line was full of training and shadowing my partner. It was good. I knew I wouldn’t be able to hit the gym on Thursday as planned, nor Friday as a backup, but, I was able to hit it first thing this morning and get things going. It was a good session with MORE PRs!

Let’s get to it.

Squats: 45lbs (Bar) x10 x1, 115lbs x5 x1, 125lbs x5 x2, 135lbs x5 x1 (AWW YES! another PR!), 95lbs x12 x1

Deadlifts: 45lbs x10 x1, 135lbs x5 x1, 175lbs x5 x1, 195lbs x5 x2 (MAKIN’ GAINZ!), 135lbs x10 x1

During the Squats and DLs, a dad asked if I could let his teenage daughter work in the squat rack with me. I’d seen them in the gym before with him helping her load plates and such. I don’t recall seeing him workout with her, just help her out. No problem, we’ve all got to get our training in somehow, so I let her work her squats in between my sets. She couldn’t have been more than 17 and I had to give her a lot of respect. She was doing 135lb squats the whole time, in sets of 3. And me, finally getting up to 135lbs today after working up in small steps.

Anyways, it was good all around.
