On this 27th day of November, in the Year of Our Lord, Two-thousand-fourteen, Tom Kenobi did wake early on the morn and approach the holy shrine of gainz to prostrate himself before the hard work bestowed to him.
But seriously, I did get up at 6am and go to the gym. Thankfully they are open today for modified hours from 5 – noon, so, it was time to get some things done! It’s only been…FIVE days since my last gym session… This week at my new position has been a fun whirlwind of activity, hence me not being able to even squeeze in an evening session. It has been a fun challenge.
So, let’s get to it!
Bench Press: 45lbs(bar) x10 x1, 115lbs x5 x1, 135lbs x5 x1, 155lbs x5 x3, 115lbs x11 x3
Overhead Press: 45lbs x10 x1, 75lbs x5 x1, 95lbs x5 x2, 65lbs x8 x2
Drop Set – Dumbbell Side Lateral Raises: 15lbs, 10lbs, 7.5lbs, 5lbs
Now, I did some good work, but I was having a hard go at it. I have a pinched nerve underneath my left shoulder-blade, or at least that is where it feels like it is. So I was having some issues with the bench. I got through it though. I also felt a lot weaker than usual throughout the entire workout. It was one of those times where I just kept focus on the task at hand and keep moving forward.
I’ve been doing this “new” version of my lifting “program” for almost a month and a half now. I have made some Personal Records on it, but I am wondering if I should cut out the dips & pulls and just focus more on the main four: Deadlifts, Overhead Press, Bench Press and Squats. Obviously, will keep you posted.
Keep moving forward!
Be strong for you, be strong 4 family.
