Something New: Tom Writes and Rolls Podcast

So, I’m putting my amateur hand in to creating a podcast with the current idea that it is meant to be a verbal companion to the pieces on the blog. There have been a few writers that I follow who have had some form of audio available for their piece and it’s been neat to hear the author’s own voice.

One of the things I think will be valuable to the Jiu-Jitsu readership is that I’ll be going back over the entire BJJ journey I’ve had thus far, reading the posts as they were written at the time and then giving my current perspective; comparing and contrasting where I was and what I’ve learned along the way.

On the fiction, flash fiction and poetic side of things, I won’t be leaning heavily on the reflection side as much as trying to make the reading of my pieces engaging. With multi-part pieces that aren’t finished, I may reflect and spit-ball on what I’m trying to do in creating the world for the next part or parts.

As you, my dear readership may know, I have from time to time, written about other things in our world: Death, Politics, Fitness, etc., and you can expect me to chat about those things too when it strikes my fancy.

All in all, I’m hoping to create a podcast that you, my dear reader, would find interesting enough to listen to. Especially if the actual reading of some works isn’t in your schedule for the day and you’d rather listen during a drive or while getting ready for the day, or even unwinding during the evening with a tea or beer or nice bourbon.

I’m using Anchor to create the podcasts and it’s slowly making it available on all the platforms. If I’d piqued your curiousity and you’d like to give me a listen and a follow, as of today, you can find the trailer on the following platforms:

  • Google Podcasts
  • Spotify
  • Breaker
  • PocketCasts
  • RadioPublic

Just search for: Tom Writes and Rolls.

More to come soon!
