Yep, it’s that time again! On this day, the scale says: 191.8 lbs
Compared to two weeks ago I have gained 1.4 lbs.
Does that bother me? No.
Why? Well, weight loss isn’t my overall goal.
Remember guys and gals, the scale can not reveal to you everything that is going on in your body on the health side of things. Its. Just. A. Number. Don’t let that number rule over you. Which is why I only weigh myself weekly or every other week.
The scale doesn’t show you physical changes to your body that you can observe visually, your shoulders looking more defined, the definition of your calves, etc. The scale doesn’t take into account the fat you’ve burned and replaced with muscle.
It’s just one tool that measures one metric in your journey of fitness.
If I let the scale rule me, I’d be losing my mind right now. The lightest I’ve gotten in my journey was 176, and even though some of the exercises remain the same (squats, lunges, pull ups for example) my workouts then were definitely different from what they are now as far as demand, function, intensity, and the tools I use.
Keep moving forward, everyone.
Be strong for you.
