Workout 09/24/14: Gym

Wow…there were A LOT of people at the gym this evening! Maybe this is why I prefer early morning workouts.

Both racks where I do my compound lifts where being used when I got there and still in use while I did my warm up, so I took a spare bar and went over to another training area where I could do my dead lifts there. Had to go back and forth loading the bar with different plates and then unloading and putting everything back after I was done, but hey, that builds character and I ALWAYS put things back at the gym! Maybe not always at home, but always at the gym, I mean, come on, I have to be considerate, right?

O.K.! This evening’s workout:

Deadlifts:  Bar (45lbs) x10 x1, 135lbs x5 x1, 155lbs x5 x1, 175lbs x5 x3

Bench Press: Bar x10 x1, 115lbs x5 x1, 135lbs x5 x1, 145lbs x5 x2

Squats: Bar x10 x1, 75lbs x5 x1, 95lbs x5 x1, 105lbs x5 x3

Pull Ups & Negatives:  3/2, 2/3, 0/5, 0/5, 0/5, 0/5  yeah, I did six sets of pulls…had to “punish” my back and arms a bit more, plus I haven’t done pulls in a while, needed to switch it up from the chins.

30sec Dead Hang: x30sec x2

Cool down stretches as usual…AND DONE!
